Holly Plater

Holly is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW having graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Social Science (majoring in Human Services).

With a background working in Mental Health, she decided to take her passion for helping others to the legal field.  Her experience in the mental health arena has provided wonderful grounding for working with families currently impacted by separation and divorce.

Her background in Human Services and Mental Health makes her an equipped communicator who brings understanding and empathy to conversations about difficult topics during trying times. Through this experience she has had exposure to issues which can impact on Family Law Matters, such as domestic violence, drug and alcohol addictions and fractured families.

Joining the firm in September 2020, Holly has quickly expanded her skills in family law under the tutelage of Kathy, and has experience negotiating and settling property and parenting matters, including court appearances.   

Holly has developed competency for dealing with difficult matters in a calm and caring manner. 

In her downtime Holly plays Netball does creative writing and enjoys spending time with her partner family and friends.
